UMPIRE OF THE YEAR WINNERS

Umpire of the year WinnersAHLL relies on our Parent/Volunteer Umpires and Junior/Youth Umpires to umpire games at the Single A, AA, AAA, & Majors level.  The time, effort, and volunteer spirit put forth by these individuals is essential to our success as a league.

In an effort to recognize these individuals for their contributions to AHLL, our Managers, Coaches, Board Members, and other Umpires are asked to identify those individual umpires who best represent our league based upon the following criteria:

- Focus on the game, confidence, eagerness to learn and improve, willingness to accept constructive criticism, relationship with crew and others, professionalism on and off the field, proper mechanics, consistency of the strike zone, timing, appearance, hustle, and game control/demeanor

TEAM UMPIRE REQUIREMENT (A, AA, AAA, & Majors Teams)

In accordance with Little League International, Anaheim Hills Little League (AHLL) uses volunteer umpires (parents / guardians /adult volunteers and Junior Umpires).

Each team (Single A, AA, AAA, & Majors) is required to staff at least two league-trained umpires per season.  Umpires will be scheduled for all Intermediate, Majors, AAA, AA and Single A games as per AHLL by-laws.

Information regarding free umpire and rules clinics is listed below and attendance is required for prospective umpires, coaches, and managers.

All necessary equipment is provided by AHLL.

Junior/Youth Umpire Program

AHLL endeavors to grow its Junior/Youth Umpire Program and to keep its current & former players connected with the league.

Junior/Youth Umpires may umpire games at the Single A, AA & AAA levels (and Majors level with UIC approval).  Junior/Youth Umpires must be at least 12 years of age (i.e. players in their final Little League season in our Majors Division).   12 year-old umpires are encouraged to work games with their parent/guardian.

Umpires 13 years or older may work solo or with a partner.

Junior/Youth Umpires are paid $40 for working home plate and $30 for working the bases.  All training and equipment is provided by AHLL.

UMPIRE SCHEDULE (AHLL HOME GAMES ONLY)

UMPIRE SCHEDULE (AHLL HOME GAMES ONLY)

Teams at the Single A, Double A, Triple A, and Majors levels will be given umpiring assignments.  AHLL Board Members and Team Umpire Representatives are not permitted to umpire games within their own division.  Umpiring assignments may be traded between teams subject to the approval of the Umpire in Chief.  Please arrive at your assignment 15 minutes prior to the game time and check-in with the managers.

AHLL home games will be played at Anaheim Hills Elementary and Crescent Elementary unless otherwise stated.  Ronald Reagan Park will be used as an alternative location.

Game times and field locations subject to change. I'll do my best to advise of any changes but please check the schedule the day prior to your assignment.

If you are unable to fulfill your assignment in the event of an emergency, please attempt to find a replacement umpire and notify the Umpire in Chief as soon as possible.

Thank you!
